Just a few of the finishes that make this such a spectacular home are the intricate truss style great room, and finishes that will include granite, marble, onyx, alabaster, teak, burled birch, antique barn wood, heart pine, black walnut, poplar bark, cherry bark, alder, cherry wood, and Rhododendron branch railings and accents, to compliment the home's 5000 enclosed square feet, plus an additional 2000 square feet of balcony and decks. Outside, guests will enjoy over three and a half acres of natural beauty, with plenty of room for kids of all ages to explore and a natural stone, wood burning fire pit . Best of all, Copperleaf is located within walking distance of the upper Great Camp and Sportsman’s Lodge, which feature 40-mile views of the surrounding mountain ranges and hundreds of acres of naturally preserved community-owned land - truly stunning!!
The open living area has so much to take in, from the amazing views of the natural surroundings easily enjoyed through the ultra-large glass walls that soar from floor to ceiling - as does the grand stone fireplace, and unique feature wall of hand-woven rhododendron that rises through all three levels. Relax and take in the beauty and tranquility on the twelve-foot sofa from Restoration Hardware, or enjoy the big game on the large flat screen television. The gourmet kitchen includes custom knotty cherry cabinets, by the finest cabinet shop in the region, Banner Cabinets (whose family gave the town of Banner Elk her name), granite countertops, plus 36 cubic feet of separate stainless refrigerator and freezer, oversized stainless farm sink, stainless Dacor 48” dual-fuel double gas range - with griddle, separate third convection oven/microwave, Kitchen-aid “flip-up” mixer, warming drawer, and other stainless appliances. Hand-scraped birch floors add natural beauty to the entire main level. The hand-scraped, live-edge dining tables will seat up to twelve comfortably with custom benches and upholstered chairs, with seating for four available at the bar as well.
The floor plan of this Eagles Nest luxury vacation home has been well-thought out - with five bedrooms and 5 full baths. On the main level is the master suite, with king bed, private bath with oversized jetted tub that also features a waterfall rain shower and floating granite counters. The adjoining study will have both a workspace as well as a Tommy Bahama twin daybed, perfect for those with a young child who prefers to stay close. The second bedroom on this level will have lovely cherry furniture, Ralph Lauren drum tables, an Ethan Allen armoire, antique rug and comfortable pillow-top queen bed. Just beside it is the next full bath, with two hand-made onyx vessel sinks, and jetted tub with rain shower. This bathroom also has a door leading out to the deck - perfect for those coming in from the hot tub, a good hike, or just the kids after an adventure in the woods. Also located on this level is the bunk room, an excellent adventure for the kids with a unique hand-crafted bunk bed, able to sleep up to five children with two full beds plus a twin trundle. Another full bath is adjacent, with tub/shower combo.
Upstairs, two more bedrooms await, separated by the breathtaking suspended walkway. To the left, find a bedroom with king bed, sitting area and armoire with television. Across the walkway is another bedroom, also with king bed. Both of these rooms feature custom windows that allow extra light and an easy view of the amazing timber construction details. And, on the lower level there is a queen size sofa sleeper in the family room area.
As much as guests enjoy the interior of Copperleaf, the outdoor area is a huge draw for everyone. The large covered deck on the front of the home is the perfect spot to relax, rejuvenate, and find inspiration, with a lovely natural view to take in and the plentiful wildlife that abounds within Eagles Nest. After a summer shower, enjoy the sounds of the nearby creek, head off on a hike in the woods, or enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The teak outdoor dining table seats at least ten, and the oversized grill (includes 9 foot gas grill with infared burner, as well as a Komodo "Egg" smoker/charcoal grills), this is perfect for grilling up the trout you caught that day. Finish a perfect day with family fireside fun under the stars around the natural stone firepit, at the campfire terrace. On a chilly evening, take advantage of the three new outdoor dramatic torch-style deck heaters, that shows a three foot tall flame, easily seen from far away. Also, take advantage of the gas fire pit on the main balcony in the cool, summer evenings.
For indoor fun, the lower level of the home features a pro pool table, foosball and 65" flat screen with surround sound and PlayStation. A pro ping pong table is set up in the adjoining garage, including a nice seating area to enjoy the game. Overall, this home provides six smart TVs: 65" in the family room on the lower level, 50" in the living room above the fireplace, 50" in one upstairs bedroom and 40" in the other upstairs bedroom, plus a 40" in the master bedroom on the main level and the queen bedroom on this level. Terrific. There is no better way to celebrate a major family event (50th) with planning and attendance by the kids and grand kids. We enjoyed the cool weather, wildlife, fishing, toy barn and pavilion, rope course/bridge. Most of all we enjoyed the wilderness and hikes an being together. Professional photographer from Boone created memories for all. Wonderful.
So refreshing and recuperative. We rode our UTV over hills and trails and identified plants, animals, new bird species...wild blueberries, black bear, many deer, hummingbirds. Most refreshing, the clear, crisp mountain air! Best place ever to celebrate our 50th anniversary with kids and grand kids, wow! Catered party dinner from a terrific restaurant in Boone, talent show by kids, games, hikes, and something just sitting on a big rock in a nearby creek and having the rushing water behind us of where we have been and how we got here. Hope to return.
The house was great. Had a family of 10 staying and enjoyed the house and amenities.★ ★ ★ ★ ★House is extremely comfortable for large families. You could stay here and just not leave but the neighborhood and sounding areas have so much to offer. Everyone was very impressed. Shout out to Nancy for being so responsive to our needs even on Memorial Day weekend.
My family and I stayed at the Eagles Nest Trail (Banner Elk, NC) home of Wayne and KarinaFerrell beginning April 7 through the morning April 14, 2018. It is a phenomenal house. Thesetting itself, that is, the neighborhood and community, is very secluded. It's up in themountains, but the roads are well paved.Virtually every day, I enjoyed long walks, pushing my two-year old grandson up and down themountains on the roadway there. It was very safe, with a stunning view. The whole community isvery pleasant. On a personal note, our grandchildren enjoyed snow for virtually the first timeever. The house was incredible. It is state of the art in every way imaginable. It is very large andaccommodating. The kitchen was totally up to date and beyond. All the designs of the housewere great. The woodworking throughout the house was very special. The WiFi was helpful. Thetelevision sets were available throughout. There were multiple bedrooms with much privacy available. Plus there was a large living room.Fireplaces were available---at the flick of a button. We also enjoyed visiting in town---to church, to grocery stores, good restaurants, an ice creamparlor, a wildlife nature center, duck-feeding on a local pond, historical museums (particularly innearby Boone). Also, only a few miles away is Grandfather Mountain, offering a spectacularview of the surrounding area. The getaway to this house was a vacation that our family (my wife and me, my daughter, son-in-law, four year old granddaughter and two year old grandson) will remember for years to come. The photos turned out great and will reinforce these memories. This place was great, and we hope to visit again sometime.
Although a short stay it was wonderful. We made new memories as a family in this beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it with us. The little ones were able to see and enjoy snow. We hope to be back soon!
It was a true pleasure and honor to stay in this beautiful home. Milo, the little boy in the family, had an amazing time. We thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time at the house. Our favorite part of the vacation was how breathtaking everything looked covered in snow! A winter wonderland. The weather was delightful, we had a blast skiing at Beech Mountain. Hope to be back next Christmas vay cay!
This was undoubtedly our favorite family mountain trip. The house was fabulous, we just wanted to stay longer. We have never had such a wonderful time. The entire Eagles Nest experience was more than we ever expected. Thank you for opening your home to our family. We will definitely return.

Copperleaf at Eagles Nest, we're telling you now this place is just the best!!
We had an amazing time this week. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home. We hope to be back in the near future.
Our family has an annual "Camp Walker" tradition which has taken us to numerous places/settings. Copperleaf and all of the Eagles Nest community are now among our top "Camp Walker" destinations! This was a particularly special vacation for we are expecting our first grandchild. My husband and I, and two daughters and their husbands, truly enjoyed everything this house has to offer and we are already planning on returning... with one (or more) additions to the family. Thank You!!!
Wow - such an amazing setting and home. The views of the mountains are breathtaking. The attention to detail in this custom home are exceptional! Can't wait to come back and make more lasting memories.
Thank you so much for the wonderful house! We have made many amazing lasting memories with family and friends and what a great place to do it! We loved all the details in the house and look forward to hopefully returning one day!
My family and I spent 4 gorgeous days at Copperleaf at Eagles Nest the weekend of May 12, 2017. The home is absolutely magnificent and breath taking. The gallery of pictures on line was true to the beauty of this home. We would return to this home in a heartbeat. Great fun was had by all. Way to go!!!!!!Rebecca Williams
Our stay at Copperleaf at Eagles Nest was a true treat. We had the pleasure of staying the week of April 10th 2017. The home is very spacious and comfortable with a great layout. All the rooms and baths are off the main living area. The living area was very nice to sit by the fireplace and enjoy the company and views. For families looking to spend time together, this was ideal as it was the main room and center of the home. The kitchen and large dining table were very comfortable and inviting for all to gather and participate in the meal preparation every day. The kitchen was very well equipped with top of the line appliances, cookware, utensils and place settings. Nothing missing, which was very convenient. We grilled a few nights outside and we enjoyed eating outdoors on the expansive deck. The heaters were especially nice when the temperature dropped in the evening. The house is very well situated on the mountain with an Easterly view which gives you breathtaking sunrises and scenic sunsets as you watch the suns rays basking on the opposing mountains. The kids really enjoyed all the games and toys available to them downstairs, but what they enjoyed most, was the evenings outside around the fire pit roasting marshmallows. The spa downstairs was also incredibly nice to sit, relax and soak in the views. The neighborhood is equally amazing! There were several places to hike, play, relax and enjoy along the way. Lots of wildlife to see on the drive in and there is also a good hiking trail available a short walk down the road from the home. We loved spending a few afternoons at the North Pavilion which is walking distance from the home as well. The kids played on the playground and the sports were sufficient to tire them out after a mix of Lacrosse, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and Football. After which we all could relax on the terrace or open aired pavilion by the fire. Indoors there was billiards, books and table games as well. The Great Camp area also had a lot to offer. A fun playground for the kids, library, pavilion for grilling and sitting out, toy barn, and many areas to relax and take in all the views. This was a wonderful week and we truly enjoyed all that your home and community had to offer. We will definitely be back.
What an incredible family experience staying at Copperleaf at Eagle's Nest. First, there is no amenity lacking in the house. The kitchen is completely stocked with dishes, serving trays, even and orange juice press which inspired us to make fresh squeezed OJ. Then there is the first floor recreation room. Pool table, ping pong, foosball, karaoke machine, keyboard, board games, bins filled with toys. Needless to say, the kids spent most of their time entertained there. The second floor living area has a great open floor plan. We spent our evenings grilling out and dining al fresco on the expansive deck area with great views of the mountains. The 2 heat lamps on the decks were a nice addition after the sun went down. We spent many an evening relaxing in the spacious hot tub or making s'mores in the fire pit area out back. The house itself is tastefully decorated and the finishes in the bathrooms and living areas give the house a very upscale feel. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens luxurious. The bathrooms all came stocked with starter toiletries. A lot of attention to detail in making sure that guests feel comfortable and at home. And then the amenities of the Eagle's Nest property are truly impressive. Tons of hiking trails, 2 open pavilion areas to take in the mountain views with wide fields for the kids to run around. Swings and ropes courses. Our stay at the Copperleaf felt like a 5 star resort, with the comforts of home. We can't wait to plan another trip for the summer! Thanks, Renata
My family had the best time at Copperleaf! They thought of absolutely everything when designing this home. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the amazing gourmet kitchen. Sitting under the stars while making s'mores was so much fun with the kids. Our youngest loved the firepit! The kids were constantly entertained. They explored outside. The basement is filled with everything imaginable. Our oldest actually disconnected from her phone without complaints. I was quite shocked but super happy. We had the best time and created amazing family memories. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back here to Copperleaf! The Sullivan Family
Had an amazing stay in this home! Beautifully decorated! Simply Amazing! Thanks for making our holidays much more special!

Family vacation 2016 was AMAZING!Your house is beautiful. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner in the kitchen. View is awesome. Kids enjoyed the ropes course and the toy barn. We saw tons of deer and 1 black bear. If you are looking to zipline go Sky Valley. Stonewall restaurant was yummy and our server Jose was great. Grandfather Mountain is pricey and there are plenty of free trails that are just as pretty. Brick Oven pizza is good too! Pizzas are huge. Thank you for a beautiful house and great stay. Plenty of room for all 14 of us!Family: We may not have it all together but together we have it all!!
We had an amazing week with family and friends at Copperleaf! We will never forget the memories we created here. We are finding it hard to say "goodbye" to the peaceful retreat, but we will be back! We decided to spend the first week of summer at Copperleaf. We usually have come in the winter and this was our first time bringing our boys in the summertime. We had an amazing week with many activities such as ziplining and white water rafting. We enjoy renting in Eagles Nest, as this is our second time renting in this beautiful neighborhood. Copperleaf was perfect for our family and all meals were fun to make in the beautiful kitchen. What an array of kitchen accessories. We will make sure to continue to come in the summers since there is so much more to do 🙂
I'd like to start by saying how beautiful this house is. We have stayed in a few different houses rented from BRVC and this is by the far the most beautiful one. We enjoyed cooking in this super functional house. Our children enjoyed playing in the game room as well as playing outside in the snow. Our family created wonderful memories on this winter vacation. We are from Florida so this is paradise for us. Eagles Nest is beautiful and quiet. We are looking forward to our next winter vacation in North Carolina.I would also like to mention how satisfied we are with the customer service they have provided us in every time we've rented a house/cabin from them. Keep up the good work.Thank you so much!! The Britto and Costa Family
Tastefully decorated with every possible kitchen amenity. Our time here has been wonderful. Created memories with family that we will never forget. My favorite part of the trip has been the family room and kitchen. Gorgeous views while spending time with the family. Eagles Nest is a private, quiet, gated community and adds to the homes beauty. Thank you to the owners of Copperleaf for allowing us to make memories with our children and family.
